Solar air conditioning is a successful product for home use, which affords a large amount of sunlight. If so is there any company in India manufacturing the same.
Residential solar absorption air conditioning has been around for a long time, but not very popular. Perhaps the increased energy costs will make it more attractive. It is in Japan. Below is a reference, but do not know where to find it in India

Can you choose the most efficient OEM compressor for 1-ton AC (get to understand the electrical specs) and the most efficient Solar Cell (perhaps China’s Suntech, who are trying to achieve “Grid parity”) and provide with the Calculations for Solar cells area/spread required to generate the required wattage for atleast 2 hours of operation, hence the cost(BOM). During Jan/2009, Suntech Cell was $0,35cents/ kilo-watt-hour.
