Diesel-electric hybrid car - does anyone make one?
Since it has a lot of HP to keep road speed once you achieve it, I think that the most efficient transportation would be a small (1.4 liters or smaller) diesel hybrid. What I really want is a basis on which I can build a hybrid meta-let me use the power of SVO diesel engine, diesel and the use of any of propelling the car or charge the batteries. Batteries also be chargeable to connect, and (ideally) also thin-film solar panels that affix to the roof / hood / trunk. Electricity provides rapid acceleration that the lack diesel, diesel gives rank and power that the lack of EV, solar trickle charge enables an electric element to heat the vegetable oil and keep tuned for fuel, even in winter. But I think we need the base of diesel-electric hybrid to start this adventure. Is there one (or more) out there and what are your experiences with him / them? PS - I am familiar with and greasecar.com greasel & SVO / biodiesel conversions.
not only yet, but car companies are now looking at this too, I think it was Ford or Mercedes that when prepared with hybrids.
