Electric heating using a hot water cylinder - can be done?
I know nothing about heating systems, so forgive my ignorance, please - but I want to install radiators in my house, connected with pipes, install an electric pump somewhere to pump water through of, and that water is electrically heated by an ordinary cylinder of hot water. Ultimately, I want to feed in electricity produced by solar panels on the roof of the house and wind turbines. I live in a climate very windy and very sunny but cold (30 to 60 Fahrenheit every day, some frost), and my house we need about 10 radiators and living space covers about 150 square meters of miserably isolated, 100-year-old wooden building with a single glazing. Does this sound like that can do, and can even be a good idea, or I do something else (be grateful if so alternatives). Cheers.
Passive solar. It will complement the heater and permit the lower KWH.
