Can a natural crevice gas water heater, rust, or are affected by the insulating sheath around it?
Someone told me that the insulation around the water heater caused the sweat and rust at the bottom. This is the reason why the water heater is leaking. Any information would be very grateful. I am having a discussion with the company that came to my home and isolated. The company wrapped the water heater saying it would help. The heater water is about 13 years and still looks brand new except for oxidation which is now at the bottom, that was not there before isolation. Thanks for any help! Isolation has been in the water heater about 2 or 3 years. Who should I vote? Everyone gave the same response about to be replaced. By So I have an option to choose everyone as best answer.
