What is the best way to find a lost father?
I never met my father and my mother did not disclose his name under any circumstances. I'm interested to know who he is. I have some information about time and place. There are an overwhelming number of "private detectives" and ". Com is ready to locate the parents - but do not have much money and can not afford to spend on tricks or cheats. Has anyone else had success with this task? Who did you use? What did you do? More importantly - What pieces of information (aside from a name or social security number) would best benefit me in this search? I'm interested in doing the best I can on my own and be able to convert the information through a researcher when I can do.
Private detectives are generally for people who do not know their parents, and do not know anyone who knows them. Sounds like all you need to do is get your mother to tell you. It really put pressure on them. Do not take no for an answer. You could threaten to cut out of your life completely if I will not tell. We will not see their grandchildren. Even could embarrass her about it in front of their friends, coworkers, and church.
